European markets were mixed overnight - but largely subdued.
The FTSE rose 13 points (.16%), the DAX fell 25 points (.14%) and the CAC rose 16 points (.20%).
In the UK, ONS data showed strong wage growth for the first quarter of 6% - this is the same as the last quarter of 2024 and market expectations was for a decline. This has slightly dampened expectations for a June interest rate cut.
ONS data also showed an unemployment rate of 4.3% - expectations for a 4.2% unemployment rate.
In the US, markets were all up.
The DOW rose 126 points (.32%), the NBI rose 20 points (.47%), the NASDAQ Composite rose 124 points (.68% and the Russell small cap index rose 23 points (1.14%).
Market analysts are now saying the US markets have entered a bull market trend.
US Treasury 10 year bond yield is at 4.50%.
Oil prices are down - Brent crude at US$82.50 per barrel.
The gold price is up - sort of bouncing around the same level - Gold price is at US$2,357 per oz.
BITCOIN is at US$61,550.
