European markets significantly rose overnight.
The FTSE rose 67 points (.82%) the DAX rose 186 points (1.03%) and the CAC rose 101 points (1.34%).
Optimism that interest rate cuts will come in the near future drove sentiment.
The Swiss National bank cut interest rates for the second time in 2024.
Markets were mixed in the US overnight.
The DOW rose 299 points (.77%), the NBI rose 45 points (1.03%), there was a pull back in the tech stocks sector and the NASDAQ Composite fell 140 points (.79%) and the Russell small cap index fell 7 points (.39%).
US jobs data showed an increase in new unemployment claims to 238k - higher than expected.
US Treasury bond yield rose to 4.26%.
Oil prices continue to rise - Brent crude at US$85.74 per barrel.
Gold price rose to US$2,359 per oz.
BITCOIN price rose to US$65,053.
