It is really simple in a way, capturing an audience from a group of financially invested individuals in a high risk high reward highly complex industry, using his interest, some abilities to point out selective interim data and one eyed worst case interpretations, achieving certain 'minor celebrity' and notoriety, instead of utilising his training and obvious interest to undertake serious training to join in the good fight against deadly enemy common to us all.
It speaks volumes of an individual somewhat lost in a 'career' unfulfilling and earlier aspirations unfulfilled and thus seeks periodic respites from his unresolved disappointment and emptiness from a bunch of strangers who chose to invest their own money and chose to believe in the management with much much more actual industrial experience of the company they invested in.
Is life becoming so pitiful as to keep seeking approvals from strangers.
