If you are genuinely keen to learn more about Bisantrene, I would suggest that you visit the RAC threads, where there are many people who would be happy to answer your questions. Perhaps Mason missed or misunderstood your question as it is a very easy question to answer.

But since you asked, I'll try my best to answer based on what I understand.

The revenue that Bisantrene has achieved in the last 40 years is $0. Although Bisantrene was approved for use in France, it was not pursued commercially by Lederle Laboratories (the original developers of Bisantrene), nor by any of the subsequent acquiring companies (Wyeth and then Pfizer). There were two main reasons for this:
1) AML at the time was not an attractive market commercially due to its small size. Obviously this is no longer the case.
2) The original formulation of Bisantrene would precipitate (crystalise) in the blood. When dosed via IV into a peripheral vein it could cause phlebitis, and instead had to be infused via a central line where there was much higher blood flow. This made Bisantrene impractical for use in other indications.

So although as you correctly state, Bisantrene has been dosed into thousands of patients over the last 40 years, this has all been done on a non-commercial basis and limited to clinical trials, which as we all know it is unethical to be charged for.

The good news (for both cancer sufferers and shareholders) is that Race has reformulated Bisantrene to solve the precipitation issues but maintaining the same Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (API), so we now have a drug which can be readily dosed by peripheral IV line and still benefit from the large amount of historical data available. Not only that, modern science has allowed a much better understanding of how Bisantrene works and what it can actually do.
