@Sharpened Yuman was asked by Andrew if the early complete response, was a surprise. Yuman responded by saying it was "very much by surprise, but pleasant surprise". LC is sitting there smiling and nodding. So not sure why any of that would be unsettling, but each to their own. You have to remember these early trial patients have had only low doses, so that's where the surprise comes from.

Yuman talks about how chemo and radiation doesn't work for these patients, how if he cannot cut the cancer out of these patients that they go on to die, and that these 2 bile duct cancer patients in the trial had to have failed chemo to get onto the trial.

Now one is disease free (and a year since treatment still disease free) whilst the other's cancer is "frozen in its tracks and not grown".

It's a surprise to Yuman because he has seen it work where no other treatment has in his 40 years of treating the disease, and they are only very early into the trial.

Andrew: "clearly you're confident". They wouldn't be planning an additional expansion cohort if they weren't confident in what they're seeing.
