I remember either LC or Yuman Fong also said this. If a patient can stay alive, then there is hope that a cure may come along for them. In these SD cases, who knows the OnCarlytics/Blincyto combo could well come along and blast the persistent cancer away for good thereby curing them of the disease. And that is why achieving SDs for these patients with no more die to throw is such a big deal for them.
