One can certainly understand the effects of human psychology in this case. Desperation and the will to extend one's life can be an overwhelming experience that leads to many "jumping ship"..........others may have the fortitude to soldier on until results flow their way.
Agree entirely with Davy ..................patient education is crucial and the best results we can get will come from those who can stay the distance. Really tough going for trial participants and their families but vitally important every time we do a trial that we get pertinent data coming from these trials. This should be able to bring a win win situation. No easy task
