True but the pharmaceutical industry does not exist in an unregulated environment.
The medical insurance industry has an interest in what is charged for medications.
Governments have an interest in what is charged.
The FDA has an interest in what is charged.
The World Health Organisation has an interest in what is charged.
The cost of bringing CF33 to market have to date been relatively modest and will likely continue to be as the method of administering it to patients is inexpensive and the lack of significant side effects plays into the low cost of administration.
Any company attempting to price gouge would be found out very quickly.
