Two competing sentiments with stock market trading - fear versus greed.
Fear has been overtaken by a bit of greed overnight and most stock indices were up.
In Europe, the FTSE rose 18 points (.23%), the DAX rose 15 points (.09%) and the CAC fell 18 points (.27%).
In the US, the DOW rose 294 points (.76%), the NBI rose 17 points (.38%), the NASDAQ Composite rose 166 points (1.03%) and the Russell small cap index rose 25 points (1.23%).
Lots of recriminations leveled at central banks for leaving rates high for too long being thrown around.
US markets are suggesting there could be 4 interest rate cuts in 2024.
US Treasury 10 year bond yield is up to 3.901%
Oil prices steady - Brent crude at US$76.26 per barrel.
Gold price continues to slip and is at US$2,388 per oz.
BITCOIN is on the rise again and sits at US$56,706.
