Markets were mixed overnight. Somewhat subdued in the US.
In Europe, the FTSE fell 35 points (.043%), the DAX rose 139 points (.77%), and the CAC rose 26 points (.35%).
In the US, the DOW rose 96 points (.24%), the NBI fell 3 points (.073%), the NASDAQ Composite rose 37 points (.21%) and the Russell small cap index rose 6 points (.30%).
High expectations that the US Fed will lower interest rates in September are adding to some optimism in world markets.
Of note was the surge in the price of gold to a record high of over $2,500 per oz.
US Treasury bond yield sits at 3.894%.
Oil price dipped - Brent crude sits at US$79.82 per barrel.
Gold price is at US$2,508 per oz.
BITCOIN sits at US$59,597.
