Global markets were all up overnight.
In Europe, the FTSE rose 45 points (.55%), the DAX rose 99 points (.54%) and the CAC rose 52 points (.70%).
In the US, the DOW rose 236 points (.58%), the NBI rose 104 points (2.21%), the NASDAQ Composite rose 245 points (1.39%) and the Russell small cap index rose 25 points (1.19%).
US Fed comments that they are "more confident that inflation is under control" has indicated to investors that there will be a soft landing - talk of recession has almost disappeared.
Jerome Powell will be delivering a speech on Friday and investors are looking at any signs of a rate cut in September.
US Treasury 10 year bond yield is down to 3.873%.
Oil price has dipped - Brent crude at US77.77 per barrel.
Gold has retained its recent gains - US$2,504 per oz.
BITCOIN is at US$59,165.
