Global markets were up overnight.
In Europe, the FTSE rose 10 points (.12%), the DAX rose 91 points (.50%) and the CAC rose 38 points (.52%).
In the US, the DOW rose 55 points (.14%), the NBI rose 31 points (.65%), the NASDAQ Composite rose 102 points (.57%) and the Russell small cap index rose 28 points (1.32%).
Investors are largely sitting on the sidelines digesting US Fed minutes which seem to be indicating an interest rate cut in September. Jerome Powell will give his speech on Friday on monetary policy. This may be a pointer to the September interest rate decision.
US Treasury 10 year bond yield sits at 3.805% - the yield continues to soften (was at 4.99% a few months ago). Good sign for share markets.
Oil price continues to slip - Brent crude at US$76.28 per barrel.
Gold price is at US$2,512 per oz.
BITCOIN surged to US$61,059.
