Re SMF's, I have had my own for about 25 years now and since I got bad cancer about 5 years ago, I have been invested almost entirely in biotech/healthcare stocks. My reason for doing this was to increase my knowledge of my own, and family/friends, health problems (quite silly I know). Over the past few years all my stocks have gone backwards and none have shown any sign of near term revenue. My accountant and auditor have never raised any concern ........ my investments are covered by my VERY simple investment strategy in the financial report to the ATO. Obviously accountants/auditors have different takes on these matters.
