Global markets were mixed overnight.
In Europe, the FTSE had a modest gain of 5 points (.065%), the DAX fell 66 points (.35%) and the CAC fell 15 points (.21%).
In the US, the DOW rose 228 points (.55%), the NBI barely moved and was down less than a point (.001%), the NASDAQ Composite fell 91 points (.52%) and the Russell small cap index rose 6 points (.31%).
The NASDAQ was dragged down by Apple who reported underwhelming orders for its iPhone.
Markets are waiting on the US Fed meeting to decide on interest rates later this week.
US Treasury 10 year bond yield is down to 3.62%.
Oil prices are steady - Brent crude at US$72.86.per barrel. The lower oil prices are one reason that US inflation is falling.
Gold continues to rise - now at US$2,582 per oz.
BITCOIN is sitting at US$58,103.
