There was a truncated trading day in the US because of the Thanksgiving holiday - US markets traded for half a day and closed at 1pm local time.
The DOW rose 188 points (.42%), the NBI fell 3 points (.071%), the NASDAQ Composite rose 157 points (.83%) and the Russell small cap index rose 8 points (.35%).

Oil prices were steady - Brent crude at US$72.38 per barrel.
The gold price is sitting at US$2,650 per oz.
BITCOIN rose again and is sitting at US$97,330.
