    European markets were all up overnight.

    The FTSE rose 13 points (.16%), the DAX rose 126 points (.63%) and the CAC rose 27 points (.37%).

    The French stock market rose despite the fall of the government.

    In the US, markets were all down. Markets are waiting on the US jobs reports due out tomorrow. The Jobs data will give pointers to future policy on interest rate cuts.

    Jobless claims data has already been released showing 224k new jobless claims - up from 215k. Data out tomorrow may indicate if the US labour market is cooling.

    The DOW fell 248 points (.55%), the NBI fell 24 points (.54%), the NASDAQ Composite fell 34 points (.18%) and the Russell small cap index fell 30 points (1.25%).

    BITCOIN hit a record level of over US$103k overnight. This is on the back of Trump picking Paul Atkins as chair of the Securities and Exchange Commission - Paul Atkins is a proponent of Crypto currencies.

    US Treasury 10 year bond yield is at 4.179%

    Oil prices largely stable - Brent crude at US$72.22 per barrel.

    Gold price is down a bit to US$2,631 per oz.

    BITCOIN is currently at US$99,300.
