Global markets had limited opening sessions overnight and some were closed.
In Europe, the FTSE rose 52 points (.64%), the DAX was closed and the CAC rose 67 points (.92%).
In the US, it was a roller coaster ride - The DOW moved from green to red by as much as 150 points either way.
The DOW closed 29 points down (.069%), the NBI rose 21 points (.50%), the NASDAQ Composite fell 175 points (.90%) and the Russell small cap index rose 2 points (.09%).
Commodity prices rose on the back of favourable Chinese manufacturing PMI data.
China also announced a 3 trillion Yuan stimulus package.
US Treasury 10 year bond yield sits at 4.579%.
Oil prices rose on the back of the news from China - Brent crude is at US$74.42 per barrel.
The gold price is sitting at US$2,624.
BITCOIN is at US$93,400.
