I don’t always agree with Alcp but I think you need to take a step back and be a little bit fair. I think what he was trying to say was that if you hold shares for less than 12 months, and sell them, you pay tax on 100% of the capital gain. If you hold for longer than 12 months you pay tax on 50% of the capital gain. Even someone of your self professed intellect should understand that.
