Global stock market activity dominated by the tariff wars starting at the moment.

In Europe, the FTSE fell 90 points (1.04%), the DAX fell 303 points (1.40%) and the CAC fell 95 points (1.20%).

Threats of tariffs on the EU are spooking European markets.

In the US, the DOW fell 122 points (.28%), the NBI fell 32 points (.71%), the NASDAQ Composite fell 235 points (1.20%) and the Russell small cap index fell 29 points (1.28%).

The tariff situation in North America is becoming very confusing. Canada is catching the brunt of the tariffs and Mexico got a one month reprieve overnight.

Arguments for the tariffs are that fentanyl, and illegal immigrants are pouring across the borders. Canada only accounts for 1% of both and has been policing its borders with the US. Makes you wonder why Canada is being targeted or if the tariffs could be short lived.

BITCOIN price has settled a little lower but, at one stage, had fallen 10% before a slow recovery.

US Treasury 10 year bond yield is at 4.532%

Oil prices largely unmoved - Brent crude at US$75.97 per barrel.

Precious metal prices rose - gold is at US$2,816 per oz.

    BITCOIN price is at US$101,150.
