    European markets were all up overnight.

    The FTSE rose 67 points (.77%), the DAX rose 124 points (.57%) and the CAC rose 33 points (.42%).

    Worries in the UK about steel tariffs as the US is the second largest market for UK steel after the EU.

    Global markets have largely shrugged off the tariffs on steel and aluminium for now - that will no doubt change when the tariffs are actually imposed.

    US markets were mixed but largely in positive territory.

    The DOW rose 167 points (.38%), the NBI had another disappointing day and fell 34 points (.77%), the NASDAQ Composite rose 190 points (.98%) and the Russell small cap index rose 8 points (.36%).

    US CPI data out on Wednesday (our Thursday).

    Market concerns in the US about the growing scope of tariffs that will be inflationary and delay interest rate cuts.

    NY Fed survey showed consumers factoring in inflation above 3%.

    US Treasury 10 year bond yield has risen to 4.50%.

    Oil prices rose - Brent crude is at US$76.00 per barrel.

    Precious metal prices rose - gold is now at US$2,906 per oz.

    BBITCOIN rose to US$97,312.
