    I guess you have to look at how FDA approves cancer drugs now, 42% were approved as later-line therapies (second-line, third-line, or beyond), many drugs which were later line therapies have become standard care now , some even are in PBS list examples Brentuximab Vedotin, Yescarta, Kymriah, its not uncommon if the clinical stage drugs are showing better efficacy as later line therapies then they would be approved as ethical issues will be almost nil for these kind of treatment and drugs if proven good in later line therapies they will be elevated to SOC..
