Global markets were all up overnight. Markets are very volatile at the moment and there was no one item of news that drove markets up.
In Europe, the FTSE rose 47 points (.56%), the DAX rose 167 points (.73%) and the CAC rose 45 points (.57%).

Uncertainty about Trumps tariff policies and increased defence spending have "mixed implications" for UK fiscal policies.
China unveiled a "special action plan" to boost domestic consumption to off-set reduced exports.
Gold hit a new record of over US$3,000 per ounce.
In the US, the DOW rose 353 points (.85%), the NBI rose 64 points (1.45%), the NASDAQ Composite rose 54 points (.31%) and the Russell small cap index rose 24 points (1.19%).
Interesting that the NBI seems to have had a renewed upward trend and is up 4% in the last two trading sessions.
US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent commented that there was "no guarantee" the US economy will avoid a recession.
US Fed meets next week to decide in US interest rates - markets are not expecting any change.
US Treasury 10 year bond yield is sitting at 4.30%
oil prices are up - Brent crude is at US$71.00 per barrel.
Gold is currently at US$3,000 per oz. Silver dropped a bit.
BITCOIN is sitting at US$84,281.
