European markets were all up overnight - possibly on the back of the big rises in the US yesterday.
The FTSE rose 24 points (.29%), the DAX rose 226 points (.98%) and the CAC rose 40 points (.50%).
Germany's parliament passed a one trillion Euro defence spending bill citing Russian aggression.
US markets all went backward overnight.
The DOW fell 260 points (.62%), the NBI fell 69 points (1.55%), the NASDAQ Composite fell 304 points (1.71%) and the Russell small cap index fell 18 points (.89%).
The "Elon" effect has seen Tesla's SP fall by 41% this year because of his involvement in the Trump administration and interference in European politics.
Investors are now seriously worried about the effects of trade wars on the US economy. Trade wars and geopolitical concerns in the Middle East and the Ukraine are also pushing gold to record levels. US$3k psychological barrier has been well exceeded. Will be interesting to see if the rise is sustained or whether there will be a nervous pull back.
US Treasury 10 year bond yield slipped to 4.28%
Oil prices are down a little - Brent crude is at US$70.50 per barrel.
The gold price is sitting at US$3,035 per oz.
BITCOIN is down to US$82,144.
