The FTSE rose 25 points (.30%), the DAX rose 257 points (1.13%) and the CAC rose 86 points (1.08%).
US markets were mixed overnight.
The DOW rose a modest 4 point (.01%), the NBI fell 81 points (1.80%), the NASDAQ Composite rose 83 points (.46%) and the Russell small cap index fell 14 points (.66%).
Data is showing that the US economy is "cooling".
The US markets ar being cautious due to some mixed messages on Tariffs. Trump statements are indicating some softening of tariffs to be introduced on April 2nd but also said that additional tariffs will be introduced on motor vehicles and pharmaceuticals.
Trump also announced "secondary" 25% tariffs on any countries buying oil and gas from Venezuela
US Treasury 10 year bond yield slipped to 4.305%
Oil prices rose slightly to US$72.51 per barrel.
Precious metals rose - gold is at 3,020 per oz.
BITCOIN rose to US$88,506.
