What effect does this have on the stock?
I'd imagine that if most are (mum & Dad) retail investors and not traders then we aren't getting the volume turnover required to get the price moving?
I'm not sure how you fix it (if actually required). Even with a consolidation there will still be the same amount of shareholders. And if they aren't trading then it's still the same issue?
I think there will be a reduction in shareholders when good news comes in and profits are taken - The accumulators will continue to buy in and strengthen their holdings, slowly reducing the shareholder registry.
