Daily Market Open: Oz investors greeted with100-point plunge in Week 14

Australian shares will open Week14 with a beating, with ASX 200 futures predicting a 100-point drop – a declineof around 1.27% – to open Monday trade.

The impending 10am open blitzcomes fuelled by U.S. uncertainty and what is sounding more and more like thebiggest round of Donald Trump’s tariffs yet; a looming economic hit that sentWall Street stocks into a tailspin late Friday.

The Dow Jones dove as much as-1.7%, while the Nasdaq composite lost -2.7%.

Adding to worry is the fact Trumpsaid he “couldn’t care less” if prices are raised by tariffs.

Considering Week 13 was quitemellow by 2025’s chaotic standards, it may be a bit of a rough surprise forAussie investors catching up on news with a coffee.
