Global markets were all up overnight responding to comments by Trump on tariffs and the US Fed.
In Europe, the FTSE rose 74 points (.90%), the DAX rose 668 points (3.14%) and the CAC rose 155 points (2.13%).
In the US, the DOW rose 419 points (1.07%), the NBI rose 67 points (1.68%), the NASDAQ Composite rose 407 points (2.50%) and the Russell small cap index rose 28 points (1.53%).
DOW was up over 1100 points and the NASDAQ Composite was up 4% at one stage but there was an interesting downward trend by the end of trading. Will be interesting if that carries through to tonight's trading or whether it was just profit taking.
Markets responded to a few statements made by Trump which renewed enthusiasm for investors.
Trump hinted that there would be a breakthrough with US-China trade talks on Tariffs. Interesting that no talks have been arranged to date.
Markets also responded positively to Trumps comment that he" will not fire" US Fed chair Jerome Powell.
Tesla helped puh the market up after Elon Mush said he would spend less time with government work.
US Treasury 10 year bond yield fell to 4.389%
Oil prices retreated a bit - Brent crude is at US$66.14 per barrel.
Gold price fell to US$3,294 per oz. Silver price rose a bit.
BITCOIN surged again and is at US$93,605.
