I think the markets are reacting to basically a backflip on China tariffs - hence the decent rises in the last two sessions in the US.
We need to keep in mind that the impact of the tariffs has not been felt yet - and most US importers have been stockpiling goods from China and other countries. Two or three months from now, we should see the tariffs raising prices in the US and the markets may trend in the opposite direction.
Markets have a long way to go to recoup the 20% drops after tariffs were announced.
