If the consolidation leads into good news it might be worth it. Sure your holding has been reduced, and you'll have to set aside that imaginary Ferrari you wanted and settle for a Mazda 3 but it's all part of the journey, which you won't be doing in a Ferrari. If you think this company could still be worth a billion dollars in the back of future success you could still make a decent profit in the long run. The days of hoping for $1 shares from 7 billion SOI on a 7 billion MC are over and the new normal might be a better reality.
