I'd be interested in your insight on the role of dysregulated epitranscriptomic regulators driving acute and chronic disease progression. Also, the role an epitranscriptomic modulator (like an FTO inhibitor) may have in altering intracellular mRNA methylation/demethylation and the downstream influence on genes, proteins, and cellular function in cancerous and non-cancerous cells. Of course, that could naturally extend into the role dysregulated epitranscriptomics plays in the cancer stem cell hypothesis, the theorised route cause of therapy acquired resistance, metastasis, and unlimited self-renewal potential.
