Slightly off the point. If a treatment is found to be extremely successful in the early trial stages, are there any avenues for getting the treatment approved for use on cancer patients to a greater level?
I ask only from the viewpoint that cancer, being such a terrible disease, might be worth giving a treatment a chance where there is a reasonable prospect of success.
