"Markets act just the same as a flock of birds."

IMO, totally correct and further it is the "market maker" (at least at the speculative end of the market) who stirs the birds .... and who wipes the table clean .... and who creates the charts .... and who provides the scraps for the more astute amateur traders .... and who leads the bulk of the trading hopefuls into continued losses aka fixed odds gambling which pay out less than they take.

IMU, is a market maker's paradise - a gradually unfolding potentially disruptive technology with a deep well of SOI, whose fundamentals will not interfere (to any great extent in the medium term) with the parasitic scam being foisted on the honey pot of gold beneath it (the market cap).

The potential disruptor to this greedy game is a (genuine) fundamentals inflection point, which can make or break the rinse and repeat cycle.

The r&d fundamentals here may grind on for years yet. Cancer drug commercialisation is a slow grind and positive interim P1 and P2 trials won't interfere too much with the main game. However, a left field merger or acquisition (which could occur at any time) could prematurely end the party.
