It would appear that CAR-T unleashes a cytokine storm where there is a correlation between high tumor burden and fast and high peak expansion of the CAR-T cells. Again, it appears that the emphasis is on reducing the tumor burden rather than the dosage rate. That's a whole lot of appearances which as we know can be deceptive.

It begs the question whether autologous therapies are failing. Into this mix and the intense regulatory oversight by the FDA into CAR-T safety, Imugene are pushing ahead with a paradigm shift in cancer treatment. Therein lies the excitement where success will not be incremental but transformative.
