US markets were closed overnight for the Martin Luther King public holiday.
Markets fell in Europe overnight.
FTSE fell 30 points (.39%), the DAX fell 82 points (.49%) and the CAC fell 53 points (.72%).
US Futures are down a bit so maybe a red opening for markets in the US tomorrow.
Economic data out of Wednesday:
- US retail sales data
- UK inflation data.
- Chinese 4th quarter growth data.
Chinese central bank kept interest rate policy on hold - markets expected a cut.
US Treasury 10 year bond yield slightly down to 3.97%
Oil prices also slightly down to US$78.14
Gold price slightly up to US$2,054.
