The DOW rose 48 points (.13%), the NBI rose 10 points (.24%), the NASDAQ Composite finished down 49 points (.32%) and the Russell small cap index fell 9 points (.47%).

Two issues driving the US market at the moment.
1) US Fed meeting minutes showed most US Fed officials "noted the risks of moving too quickly on Interest rates".
2) Market is waiting on earning results from NVIDIA. Will AI be a bubble?

Expectations are running high for the chipmaker's fourth quarter results, seen both as a barometer for the AI trade and as a potential turning point for stocks more broadly.

The market is on edge for any disappointment in the report, expected after the bell. Nvidia is one of a small group of megacaps behind a big chunk of recent gains for stock indexes. Mixed prospects for growth among those "Magnificent Seven" stocks have prompted hedge funds to cut holdings, according to Goldman Sachs.
