European market up overnight, the US markets were basically flat.
In Europe, the FTSE rose 93 points (1.26%), the DAX rose 132 points (.84%) and the CAC rose 65 points (.91%).
UK retail sales declined by .3% in October - larger than the fall in September.
In the US, the DOW rose by a single point (.005%), the NBI had a good rise of 43 points (1.16%), the NASDAQ Composite rose 11 points (.084%) and the Russell small cap index also had a good run and closed up 24 points (1.35%).
Oil prices rose strongly - Brent crude over US$80.
US Treasury 10 year bond yoid at 4.45%. Now down considerably from the 5% a month ago.
