This coming Sunday may prove very interesting for the China/Taiwan debate.
for those that may not be aware, this Sunday is what the Taiwanese call Double 10 day - their national day (as opposed to China’s national day being 1st October). The Chinese like to coincide events with previous events, so the mainlanders may look at this as a time to “start” or amplify something - especially with the recent rhetoric combined with the increased incursions.
BTW are there really a group of US carriers hanging around the Philippines now doing some form of exercises? A coincidence?
