BHP is not at the GFC levels... not yet anyway...

The last GFC was due to a defaulting property market in the US. This was packageg and sold across the world.

The difference today is that we have a Commodity crisis.. This to me has a much more significant effect on BHP than the GFC, this is why i think we havent hit the lows yet. I own some small cap iron ore firms at the moment which are trading at a 94% discount (from $4 to $20c)

The issue is BHP is that it is a monster, huge market cap... it will take time for it to fall to the bottom.

This could easily hit the low teens in 3-6months.
