Why Is Brainchip Selective With Its Disclosure???
We've all noticed this section of the Brainchip website which was quietly updated recently, listing “Customers” and “Partners” with some very big names:
Mercedes-Benz, NASA, ESA, Valeo, AFRL, Frontgrade, MegaChips, Renesas… plus partners like Arm, Intel, RTX, SiFive, and others. (Screenshot attached below for reference.)
But here’s the thing. How many of these have ever been properly announced to the ASX?
We’ve all heard these names casually mentioned in presentations, forums, PR interviews or any ammount of social media posts. Yet you won’t find any formal ASX release confirming actual contracts or revenue.
The standard excuse you often hear is “NDA”. But that doesn’t really wash because the company itself is the one publicly listing these names on its own website. Clearly they’ve decided it’s acceptable to promote these relationships when it suits, so confidentiality is not a valid excuse
So which is it? Are these real, material relationships or just name dropping for marketing purposes?
If they’re real and material, why hasn’t the market been properly informed? If they’re not material, then why promote them at all?
Selective disclosure, talking up names to investors & shareholders while avoiding proper asx announcements, isn’t transparency, and it isn’t good governance.
If anyone can point to the ASX announcements for any of these “customers" please share. Otherwise, maybe it’s time the board explained why this list exists at all.
