Maybe someone can let me know what the goal is then because the government hasn't said anything.
The CMO says we can't get rid of it now. And the CSIRO says the vaccine is at least 18 months away.
So, to my mind, the three choices are:
1. Herd immunity without overburdening the health system
2. elimination of the virus (which has been discounted now)
3. flattening the curve but not reaching herd immunity and waiting/hoping for vaccine.
With so much stimulus being spent option 3 is unsustainable imo. Is there another option bar option 1?
