One core reason mining companies dual list on Canada’s TSX is that Canada is heavy into mining ventures locally like Australia is also know for. So a lot of mining companies dual list in Canada as well as there are many mining aware investors there as they are bulk mining there, just an easy place to gain bulk investment. Newcrest Mining is another company that dial listed there also for the same reason, I know that from when I worked for them and the reasons behind it.

When you work in a mining company there seems to be a lot of people who basically have worked in Africa, Canada and Australia as that is where a lot of the big mining is done. Indonesia and PNG rate up there as well.
