VUL is in the epicenter of current Covid-era liquidity mania, which includes anything related to EV (including certain minerals and metals), BNPL, AI, cyber security, online sales, etc. On the days when the market is high on stimulus, QE and RBA's hopium-filled whispers, VUL flies without any fundamental reasons. Daytraders enjoy stocks like VUL because of the volatility it provides. On the days when the reality strikes, on the other hand, VUL is not the kind of stock that you want to have in your portfolio.
