Well spotted BH. I have litle doubt that these are the same US investment banks that in conjunction with the US Fed are manipulating the price of gold through selling short. Goldman Sachs alone has over 10,000 short contracts on the TOCOM. Real money (Gold and Silver) is the antithesis to those who can create papaer money as and when they please. I wouldn't be suprised if all this money lent at the discount window is going straight to the propping up of the Dow and the supression of the monetary metals.
Its a shame to learn they've got their paws in Lihir as well. The message here I reckon, is to try not to trade the stock or use leverage with it. More likely you'll make more money if you just buy and hold it as an investment.
