J S Miller was signing books outside a bookshop at Roselands in Sydney way back in the mid 1960's. I was 9 years old. Can't remember if I already had a book of his and we went there for to get it signed or my Dad bought it that day but when I got up to his table, straight out he blurts " Do you have any questions young man ?". I said no as any nine year old at the time would and he shook his head and said "very disappointing", asked me my name and scribbled in my book. (that did wonders for my self esteem until I discovered alcohol some 10 or 12 years later). When my dad deciphered the scribble, it said " To xxxx, Never stop asking questions". Have no idea where the book got to but I'll always remember his squeaky voice.
Also, (ahem).. Was it not sargent Shultz ????????.......Cheers.
