I was about to give you another link where you can Peg out all the various mining claims of New Mexico.
In fact, you can do the whole USA. LOL!!!
Seriously. It is awesome once you download the software.

There are all sorts of stuff on the FAQ section. However,
the one that i found really impressive is when you click on a link "Land and Mineral Record System" in the first paragraph.
When you click on that it takes you to "Bureau of Land Management Legacy Rehost"
Scroll halfway down until you see a link "GeoCommunicator"
Click on that. When you get into the website, you can download the software and use Java or Active Xcontrols
to navigate. Make sure you allow Pop-ups.
Choose what ever takes your fancy. Geothermal - Mining Claim Maps - Mineral Maps
Have a good read through it as it will be worth it.
I have spent a bit of time looking through some of the various counties and claims just to have a practice.
However, it will keep you extremely occupied for the next 6 months or so.
