We see exactly the same occur in the financial markets every day, a trigger occurs, participants swoop in, pull back, swoop in and so on. It’s a psychological trigger, most can’t help it. When the trigger is a momentum driver it’s fine, the underlying security can support the constant waves of the herd moving in. In the majority of cases though, the trigger is not a momentum driver. One example is a stock I was watching on Friday, SRK, Strike Resources.
