Hi Obdurate.
I am no tax expert but my understanding is that because OZL has all these accumulated capital losses it won't be paying any tax on it PH profits until these have erased the accumulated losses (in another year or two I think).
Bexause they are paying no tax, OZL can't offer franked dividends to shareholders only unfranked dividends, and as a consequence shareholders would have to pay tax on any dividend.
To any tax experts/accountants on Hotcopper please confirm, correct or refute my understanding please.
