I have a different opinion about the market. Personally I think the share market is not perfect and that is why we are able to make money from it.

If the market was perfect every company would be trading at its exact value and each ann we would see sp been adjusted as such.

As it is many companies go by been undervalued allowing investors to buy in and then watch the sp go up. Same goes for the reverse. If the market was perfect then no company would be undervalued and none overvalued.

As an aside I think all this discussion about OZL not been 'worth' $16 is over the top.

The consolidation will reduce the amount of shares on issue, that is all. It will still be on the same PE, still be earning the same amount of money and still be valued the same by institutions.

Prominent Hill will still be producing 100k tonnes of Cu and 180k ounces of gold.
