- the debts are easy to collect, so collect them yourself, or
- they aren't easy to collect and require unscrupulous activity to call it in
My banks need to either lend responsibly and work with any distressed debtors, or man up and collect the debts themselves if they are knowingly throwing them to the wolves.
And before anybody says it - the recently relaxed lending laws are NOT a green light for irresponsible lending.
Maybe it should be you apologising to your wife... being sorry that her last bunch of flowers has been shaken down from a cancer victim or divorcee mum.
