Actually that is a relevant point. If the growers cant get enough pickers Labor will come out smelling like roses for opposing 15%.

However, given the govt would not agree to Labor’s lower rate the Greens move at least prevented the rate being 32% which would have been disastrous.

It was a major stuff up by the govt and they were lucky to be given an out by the Greens
albeit a costly $100mill out.
